2016-12-23 - end of another week long flare?

For the past week, I've had a flare on my arms (inside elbows) and cracking skin on knuckles of fingers. Some itchy patches on top of hand and fingers also.
Has eased off significantly today, so I'm hoping that it's only a short flare.
Prior to that (from around the 11th Nov through to the 16th Dec) I've enjoyed calm "normal" skin.

2016-10-21 - up and down.

After last post skin flared up again, then it's started dying down again.
Skin started getting better from 10th Oct (I was in USA from 1st Oct to 16th Oct). The day I got back, my skin flared up again after getting really good. Started taking antihistamine then. I believe the burning red itching might've been because I came back to spring time in NZ (was red and puffy, bit different to the normal red itch).
Ibuprofen helped reduce the burning and redness a lot as well (200mg every few hours).

2016-10-06 - flare on arms dying down a bit

Last few weeks have been really frustrating. However, taking ibuprofen (one pill which is 200mg 4-5 times a day) has helped keep down the burning redness a LOT. Also taking antihistamine, but the ibuprofen makes a significant and noticeable difference within an hour of taking it.

2016-09-23 - Getting worse!

Damn, when will this stop! Getting really frustrating. Spread all over arm down to hands now. Left arm slightly worse.
Finding some Ibuprofen helps with easing the heat (and subsequent itching).
I stopped taking multivitamin's yesterday as well. I read that Folic Acid might encourage the blood vessels to open up.
Started taking magnesium and zinc yesterday as well.

2016-09-19 - Hot and burning arms :-(

Gah! Hot and itchy. So much for my arms getting better in the last week.

Hands are fine though.

2016-09-12 - Have had a nasty flare up on arms

I was enjoying really good skin since the end of May until around beginning of August. A few week ago near beginning of Aug my elbows started getting really itchy, wouldn't go away.
A couple weeks after that, started getting what looked like an allergic reaction to something all around the inside of my elbows! Been REALLY red and itchy for about a month now. Sucks. Haven't had anything like it since I started TSW.
Here's some pics of elbows today:

Those pics aren't as bad as it has gotten. I'm now hopeful that the worst of it is over as this morning I woke up and the skin was really flaky and not as red as usual. Hopefully this week things will clear up, fingers crossed...

2016-05-01 - flare over, peeling now...

Although the hands don't look that great, they feel so much better! Swelling is going down, redness died off and splits are healing. Skin peeling. Got three weeks or so for the peeling to stop while the new skin to come through...

2016-04-20 - Return of the blisters

Gah, blisters have come out on my hands again. They look very similar to pics from this blog.
Except from that blog which sums up my situation (although the blisters are much less itchy this time around for some reason, although my fingers can get really itchy):
Blisters on the hands. These tiny blisters can form on  the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. This is sometimes known as dyshidrotic or pompholyx eczema, although in my case, it was not a true eczema, but a direct result of the steroid withdrawal. The tiny blisters ooze a clear fluid, which can easily get infected, as the hands are in constant use. I try to keep my hands as clean as possible, and moisturise often. The blisters are very itchy and uncomfortable.

You can see on my finger knuckles the dry splitting skin, that's the worse, been like that for months now:

Ignore the black spots, that's from paint:

2016-03-16 - Return of annoyance

Since new year, my knuckles have been flaring up on both hands. In first couple of months of 2016 it's been rather annoying with splitting skin on the knuckles. In March, it's died down a bit, but can flare up in to red and itchy. Just doesn't seem to want to go away!
Palms of hands and rest of my skin is totally fine.
